The Kros: the world’s first and most widely used mobile urinal, manufactured in South Africa..!

The Kros is a plastic (polyethylene) urinal unit with an integrated tank with a volume of 450 liters (about 1500 individual 'pees'!). Thanks to its advanced design and minimal weight, the unit is easily installed and removed after use.

Each Kros offers the facility for 4 people to urinate at the same time in an area of just 1.15m². The open character of the Kros is a deterrent to inappropriate behavior while the partition walls give sufficient privacy. Door can also be fitted - especially where the fairer sex is involved.

The Kros can be installed anywhere where there is a need for an effective urinal. Usually, the Kros is used as a mobile urinal. However, the Kros can also be used as a semi-permanent urinal, thanks to the built-in facility to connect it to the sewer system. In the Netherlands, the Kros is a tried, tested and proven concept. Many town councils have made the Kros a mandatory feature of outdoor events. Every Dutch toilet hire firm therefore includes them in their hire fleet. Event organizers almost always hire a combination of toilet cabins and Kros urinals. The City of Amsterdam has been fighting the problem of urinating in public since 1998. Every weekend it hires 30 Kros urinals and distributes them throughout the city center for use by the public. On Sunday mornings the Kros units are collected and normally contain over 10,000 liters of urine.
